Favorite Dish : Pulihora (పులిహోర)
Andhra pulihora recipe or tamarind rice is called as chintapandu pulihora (చింతపండు పులిహోర) or avapettina pulihora (ఆవపెట్టిన పులిహోర). Often prepared during festivals and is offered as naivedyam ( నైవేద్యం) to the gods. Cooked rice is seasoned with tamarind paste and other basic ingredients like curry leaves, peanuts, chilies and turmeric.
pulihora can be served with any fritters like
onion pakoda,
mirchi bajji,
mixed dal vada,
aratikaya bajji,
punugulu.
