During my childhood, there used to be detective & social novels (other than the weekly & monthly magazines) which were under large ciculation. For ciculation of these several libraries were run and these novels were given on rental basis. After TV came, half of the business of these novels fell and with internet everywhere now, the business totally collapsed leaving behind only some sweet memories and a few ever remembered authors/writers/novels.

I used to go to library, run by one of my brother's friend, almost daily when I was studying in Nizamabad. In the library there used to be all kinds of stuff, mostly detective novels written by Madhubabu, Kommuri Sambasiva Rao, Chandu Sombabu, Yandamuri Veerendranath and social family sentiment novels written by Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani, Madireddy Sulochana, Vasireddy Seetadevi, Chalam, Yerramsetti Sai, Suryadevara Rama Mohan Rao and more.

I liked most of the novels written by Madhubabu but my favorite author was Chandu Sobabu who used to write romantic fiction novels. One of his novels Prema Jwala (ప్రేమజ్వాల)'s the best I like(d).
