Junior College
Institution : Govt. Junior College, Nizamabad (1977-79)
After completion of 10th class in FIRST DIVISION through Board examination in the year 1977, I joined Government Junior College in Nizamabad, located near Khilla. Changing education from School to College would definitely be a different experience. In School, used to carry a bundle of books in a bag which generally weighs 4 to 5 kgs. Also used to wear half-pants. But in College the style was different. We used to be dressed in full length bell-bottom pants (Bell-bottom Pants were the fashion those days) and just take a single all in one 'rough note book' which made college life an easy go. The college was 3 to 4 Km from the rented house. So it was no problem at all. Most of the times walked down to college while sometimes on bike ( sorry it was bicycle). In college I met Mr Venkateshwar Rao who hails from rich business family & who used to come by new rich bicycle. He became a good friend of me. Both of us used to come on bike (new bicycle) to college most of the times and to study combinedly whenever exams were there.
I used to be good at studies always especially very good in Mathematics, which was my favorite subject. Most tough subject for me was Physics and then English non-details. In Mathematics, I impressed the Lecturer, Sri Rajaram sir very much by my quick responses in the class. I used to solve problems very quickly irrespective of whether it's in Algebra or Integration or Trigonometry. Recognizing my talent he (Sri Rajaram sir) offered me 'free tuitions' in Mathematics at his residence. I accepted happily and from then onwards dominated the entire class in Mathematics totally in every tests/exams. Sri Rajaram sir introduced me personally to Sri Satyam Reddy, a Chemistry Lecturer and appraised him about my talent in Mathematics and requested him to teach Chemistry also in private. Sri Satyam Reddy sir was kind enough and immediately agreed. I started showing my brilliancy in Chemistry as well. I concentrated on Physics as well. Finally in the Board examination held in 1979, I could be able to get a good score in MPC (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) 349 out of 400 (87.25%). For this achievement I am always grateful to Sri Rajaram sir without whom I would not have got such a good score and would not have got a seat in REC Warangal.
